Stop Wrestling with GA4

We've simplified the world's most powerful (and complex) analytics tool into a focused view that makes sense.

NATIVE GA4 INTERFACE

"Where is the bounce rate?" "How do I see today's traffic?"

GA4 SIMPLE VIEW

One click. Instant clarity. No training required.

What you actually get

The one GA4 won't show you

See how much traffic comes from ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity

GA4 files AI assistants under Referral and leaves you to guess which hostname was which. We match them by referrer and break them out on the Insights tab. It is often a smaller number than people expect — that is worth knowing too.

The Insights tab listing AI search traffic by source: ChatGPT 1,106 sessions, Gemini 209, Claude 179, Perplexity 108, Copilot 3.

One click, no setup

Click the icon on any site whose GA4 property you can already open. Nothing to configure.

Five tabs, not fifty menus

Overview, Traffic, Content, Search, Insights. That is the entire product.

Search Console alongside

Queries and landing pages next to the traffic, so a drop and the search terms behind it sit on one screen.

What it can't do

Read-only. No Explorations, no custom funnels, no export beyond CSV. Figures are cached — usually an hour, up to a day for the slow-moving ones — so this is not a live console. If you need any of that, GA4 proper is still where you go.

Three steps, about a minute

Most of it is Google’s OAuth screen, not us.

1

Install the extension

Store review is pending, so today it is a one-minute unpacked install. Steps below.

2

Sign in with Google

Quick secure OAuth login directly with your Google Analytics account.

3

See your analytics

Browse to your site and click the extension icon. You're done!

This is the whole thing

One screen, six numbers, five tabs. Real screens from the current build, shown with sample data.

Overview
Last 7 days
The Overview tab: six metric cards reading 30,614 users, 42,758 sessions, 84,545 pageviews, 57.8% bounce rate, 3m 56s average duration and 22,288 new users, above a users trend chart and a new-versus-returning split.
The green strip at the top is an insight the extension wrote itself — it reads the numbers and tells you what to do about them.
The Traffic tab, breaking sessions down by channel, source and medium.
Traffic, split the way Universal Analytics used to split it.

The boring questions, answered

Privacy-first

We don't store your data. Everything happens in your browser and stays within Google's ecosystem.

Universal Support

Works with any GA4 property your Google account can already open. Nothing to configure, and we never ask for access you don’t already have.

Free, and here’s why

It costs us almost nothing to run — there are no servers, and the API quota it spends is yours, not ours. If that ever changes, this page changes with it first.

Installing it today

It is not on the Chrome Web Store yet — review is still pending. Until it lands, it installs unpacked, which takes about a minute and works in Chrome, Edge, Brave and Arc.

  1. 1

    Ask us for the build

Email hello@ga4simpleview.com and we’ll send the current zip back. There is no waitlist and no form to fill in.

  2. 2

Unzip it, then turn on Developer mode

Open chrome://extensions and flick the Developer mode switch in the top right.

  3. 3

    Load unpacked, pick the folder

Click Load unpacked and choose the unzipped folder. Then browse to a site whose GA4 property you can see and click the icon.

Unpacked extensions make Chrome show a “disable developer mode extensions” warning on startup. That is Chrome being careful about sideloaded code, not a problem with the build — it goes away once the Store listing is live.

Stop opening GA4 to answer one question

Built for people who open Google Analytics once a day, wince, and close it again.
